Opportunities with the OPSL Print E-mail

In my four years of involvement in the OPSL, I have seen this league grow from a small group of the best local teams just looking for the best fields, best referees, and best competition into an entity that connects many dots in the local soccer community.  More than ever, the OPSL today is an incubator for not only the best amateur soccer in the region, but is also forging new ground in determining what the regional landscape for soccer, still an emerging sport in the U.S., will look like in the coming years.  As the league grows, so do the opportunities for individuals with a passion for the sport.

Our Board is always on the lookout for talented and ambitious individuals with an interest in areas such as:  community relations, business development, vendor relations, judiciary management, player and club relations, and more.  In short, if you have a passion for soccer and seek an opportunity developing skills as well as a network in the local soccer community, then we may have an opportunity for you.

OPSL Board and committee positions, however, require more than desire.  In exchange for the opportunity to be a part of an exciting and growing organization, planning, organization, commitment, and follow-through are required.  As the OPSL is a non-profit organization and positions are on a volunteer basis, your passion for the game and desire to be a part of our mission to “promote the highest level of soccer and officiating in the region” must be your fuel.

We hope to see you at the playoffs this week and next.  Short of paid professional soccer, these games will undoubtedly feature the highest level of soccer in the region.

Sincerely,
Kevin Richards

OPSL President
